In older to meet their daily living needs, aboriginal people migrate to Taipei to seek work opportunities and a new way of life. Consequently, the values and culture of the indigenous tribes have become diluted and are not automatically passed down from one generation to another. For this reason, the Indigenous Peoples' Commission of Taipei City Government has been holding a series of artistic activities from Aprilto October every year to display and preserve the art and iustoms of our aboriginal people. Through the Taipei Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Festival, we want to demonstrate how harmoniously people form different cultures can live together.
